Most webhosting companies offer more than you'll ever need. Here are my simple guidelines if you want to know which plan is for you:
Star Plan 50 MB 1 GB - for beginners or those who just want a simple blog who use minimal images on their site. This is our starter plan and the most popular and affordable plan. At $20.00 a year, you get reliability, your own hosted blog and value -packed features that come with all the webhosting plans. Even ecommerce sites use this plan as it lesses their startup costs.
Thespian Plan 75 MB 2 GB- For sites that need a small gallery and more pages. At only $30.00 a year you get all the default features of our webhosting plans.
Superstar Plan 100 MB 3 GB- Photolog sites, Sites with average sized gallery or those who want to upgrade from the star plan. At only $40.00 a year you get all the default features of our webhosting plans plus 1 addon domain.
Protagonist 250 or 500 plan- Large sites or site that have been online for many years and accumulated a lot of pages and images. At only $60.00 to $100 a year you get all the default features of our webhosting plans plus 3 to 5 addon domains.
In my experience with my own customers who own blogs , not a single site have ever gone over their bandwidth except for 1 ecommerce site but that was because his business suddenly picked up. When that happens, it's advisable to upgrade.
To give you an idea about my own the-protagonist.net site (my collective domain), it says I have a disk usage of 444.26 Megabytes . Being a camwhore, my photo gallery is 250 MB. So it depends how much photos you want to store.
But as always, start small and then upgrade your plan whenever you want if you exceed your limit. During the first few months while you're building up your content on your domain, most likely that extra space you're paying for will be going to waste, so why not just start off with a small space when you get to pay less? That is why Protagonist WebHosting Solutions understands your needs because we've started small and grew with our customers.
