luck, happiness, prosperity, longlife, fortune, and success

Chinatown (or Binondo) was awesome. Even though the streets reeked of garbage stench and was strewn with spit, I was so happy that I got myself a lovely red silk cheong sam. The dress length was just mid way from my ankles and knees but the slit was pretty high up to my mid thighs. My dad who paid for it said I should wear pants or stockings underneath and I am like “DUH!". I really look good in it. After walking around , we decided to have lunch at this Chinese restaurant . The meal was great and two dragons even danced their way into the restaurants complete with drums and cymbals. I never saw anything like it and the “dragon” had to reach for the red envelope money taped to the ceiling of the restaurant. Then we brought a few sparklers , dancing fountains and these fortune fountains which we plan to light up tonight at the stroke of midnight.

So here’s to luck, happiness, prosperity, longlife, fortune, and success!

Dragon Dance or Lion Dance? lol. I don’t know how a troop of Dragon dancers would be able to fit in a restaurant without knocking things over.

I love watching the Lion Dance. One of my favorite points of Chinese New Year. :)

Wow, a cheongsam? That’s cool… I don’t have the figure to carry one off, lol.
