Halloween day spent at home. My cousins from my mom’s side came over for lunch. Around 6 pm, my cousins on my dad’s side had a children’s party complete with a magician. View my Halloween Daily Grind. Here are the rest of the DG participants (more will be added as soon as they’re done)
Halloween and the Daily Grind starts today too. We have fake pumpkins!
But the cats are ready to trick or treat ![]()
Lady can’t seem to wait. She’s saying “Let me out now"….
With widened eyes, I watched in silent horror as the people near us threw their cups of beer in the air. I screamed my girly eww-there’s-a-cockroach scream when some of the beer landed on my hair and soiled my top… read more
Lele’s post on her brother’s mid-life crisis reminds me of my mom getting back to the corporate world, after 16 years . I’ve never seen my mom work at an office outside the house . She actually works for her family’s real estate corporation but it doesn’t take much of her time. Mom said the house is so lonely during the day while I’m at the dorm, that she needed full-time work to keep her sanity intact. It’s her first time in the corporate world having been employed previously in the manufacturing/government sector. And now, it’s a US based IT company that’s opening soon. (I better shut up now ). From scientist to IT! How different.
Speaking of drastic career moves, my uncle was a veterinarian before becoming a lawyer. Weird huh? Then shifted to foreign service. He’s a consul now. Things change. I wonder what I’ll be 20 years from now. Definitely, I’m not going to be a doctor. Not that drastic.
Jason posted a thread on this news article, How spammers are targeting blogs. I get around 2 to 3 spam keywords a day in nimrodel, and in this blog. So far, I just remove them manually. These spammers are just getting a free ride just so they can increase their google page rank. Instead of spamming, why don’t they just offer paid advertising or sponsorships to these blogs? Then again some blogs don’t want any sort of advertisements in their personal site. I wonder what spammers will do next. Let me guess…In the future, they’ll have to power to blog entries. mwahaha.
On the way to a trade fair this morning, we passed by the ruins from the fire that left more than 1,000 families homeless in four barangays in the boundary of the cities of Pasay and Makati last Monday night. And you know what caused the fire? According to the Pasay City fire marshal, the fire started at around 7:30 p.m., when Ramonito Alavera threw an oil lamp at his wife while they were fighting inside their house in Barangay 143. How stupid!…more photos.
Are some bloggers pressured to blog? Why is there plagiarism ? Why are so-called inspired entries not given credit from the original author? We can only shake our heads and wonder why they can’t find boring things to blog about. Geesh, if one can’t be original , they better make sure that they copy from blogs that don’t belong to any community.
My friends from high school and me at the mall this afternoon. Stupid cheap-ass scanner. The actual photo is not as faded-looking. This the picture that is currently gracing my wallet.
I took some digital photos though. View the gallery
Tony Perez and the Spirit Questors: Shamans or Shams? is an article that I co-wrote with another Guidon staff member. It was orginally intended to be written by me but our boss rejected the article of my co-staff member. So anyway, we had to share the topic…
“Psychic Powers and Shamanism” is not a class one would expect to be found in a Catholic university. However, this unusual subject was offered by the Interdisciplinary Studies department of the Ateneo eight years ago, with Tony Perez as the facilitator. read more?
