mid life crisis
Lele’s post on her brother’s mid-life crisis reminds me of my mom getting back to the corporate world, after 16 years . I’ve never seen my mom work at an office outside the house . She actually works for her family’s real estate corporation but it doesn’t take much of her time. Mom said the house is so lonely during the day while I’m at the dorm, that she needed full-time work to keep her sanity intact. It’s her first time in the corporate world having been employed previously in the manufacturing/government sector. And now, it’s a US based IT company that’s opening soon. (I better shut up now ). From scientist to IT! How different.
Speaking of drastic career moves, my uncle was a veterinarian before becoming a lawyer. Weird huh? Then shifted to foreign service. He’s a consul now. Things change. I wonder what I’ll be 20 years from now. Definitely, I’m not going to be a doctor. Not that drastic.

Maybe a career can get boring and thus the reason for shifting.
