Record Rainfall

floodsNO CLASSES TODAY!!! And why should there be? Yesterday, there was a 6 hour downpour that created swimming pools throughout major streets in Manila. The volume of rain matched that of the entire month of May. Whoa. It was so bad that this guy used his ski jet in front of the University of Santo Tomas. The flood in front of my school in Ateneo (Gate 2) wasn’t waist deep but it was knee-deep. Eeek

The downpour triggered floods up to waist deep at places and landslides in some areas, caused cancellation of school classes and forced closure of many offices. In some low-lying areas, residents fled to their rooftops.
