Are you the 2% or 98% of the population?

Check out the following exercise, guaranteed to freak you out. There’s no trick or surprise, but, trust me: just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don’t advance until you’ve done each of them… really.

What is:

1+5 ?
2+4 ?
3+3 ?
4+2 ?
5+1 ?

Now repeat saying the number 6 to yourself as fast
as you can for 15 seconds. Then page down…

QUICK!!! THINK OF A VEGETABLE!

Say it out loud!

Then page down.

You’re thinking of a CARROT right?

If not, you’re among the 2% of the population whose minds are warped enough to think of something else.

    as you can see here, the 2% warped is not accurate. From the results, i can see 50 % are warped…

    Maybe you have to actually say it out loud. I didn’t, but got six six six sic sick sick - SPINACH! When I saw “carrot” I figured that 98% of the people taking the test must have been phallic-oriented types, going “six six six sex sex sex - CARROT! (or cucumber for those with less petit tastes!). That made me wonder… “What was it that Pei was supposed to be doing in that picture I remember?!?” (http://pei.the-protagonist.net/junks/020427-cc3.jpg)

    Don’t worry, Pi, I believe you and suspect we might have come to different veggies for similar reasons. And, it _does_ look like you are singing into a mic. A guy can always dream, though, can’t he? ;)
